The First Case of Burkholderia cepacia-Induced Myasthenic Crisis

We report the case of a 62-year-old male patient with previous diagnosis myasthenia gravis who experienced myasthenic crisis due to lower respiratory tract infection caused by Burkholderia cepacia. The was admitted neuro-intensive care unit and received ventilatory support address insufficiency. Treatment included tigecycline piperacillin-tazobactam for suspected bacterial infection, as well targeted management crisis.
